Functional tests such as Interface, Hidden Menu, Remote Control, and Front/Back Panel are conducted. This field also includes tests of institutional and banking applications running on Fiscal Cash Registers (FCR) devices. In this field, we have also developed a test platform software that performs tests of modems and STB (Set Top Box) end devices at Telecom Operators' dealers/services within defined rules. Set-top box (STB) tests are conducted to evaluate the quality, performance, and compatibility of devices known as set-top boxes. These tests aim to verify a range of features and functionalities of STBs, and they are typically categorized as follows:

Features

  • Functional Tests: These tests are performed to verify that the basic functions of the set-top box work correctly. This includes channel change, menu navigation, electronic program guide (EPG) access, and recording features.
  • Compatibility Tests: These tests are performed to ensure that the set-top box is compatible with other devices and services. This includes compatibility with different TV models, HDMI and AV ports, network connections, and software updates.
  • Performance Tests: These tests are performed to evaluate the performance of the set-top box. This includes tasks such as channel change speed, video quality, audio synchronization, and streaming service performance.
  • Connectivity Tests: These tests are performed to check the set-top box's connectivity features. This includes network connection stability, Wi-Fi connectivity, Ethernet connection, and connection with other devices (e.g., Bluetooth, USB, external storage).
  • Security Tests: These tests are performed to ensure the security of the set-top box. This includes verifying authorization, encryption, and content protection measures.
  • User Experience Tests: These tests are performed to evaluate the user experience provided by the set-top box. This includes tasks like remote control usability, interface design, and ease of use.
  • Long-Term Durability Tests: These tests are performed to ensure the set-top box's durability over long-term use. This includes testing the set-top box's resistance to temperature, humidity, vibration, and shocks.
