In cases of internet access problems, end-users often suspect a modem fault and send the modem to technical service, leading to unnecessary workload and costs for service centers. Detailed testing has shown that only 15-20% of modems sent to technical services are actually faulty. Sending functional modems back to manufacturers results in high costs due to logistics and renewal processes, while customers are left waiting without internet access, leading to dissatisfaction. In this context, the MAT Platform provides a cloud-based software-hardware solution optimized for internet service providers, technical support centers, and retailers.

Tests and Operations Performed with the MAT Platform:

  • Physical Inspection Test (Manual): The physical condition of the modem is inspected by retail personnel. If approved, the automation software is activated.
  • Modem Access Test: The software identifies the brand and model of the modem and runs device-specific test scripts.
  • LAN Ports Test: Data flow tests are conducted through each port on the modem.
  • Modem Login Test: The brand, model, firmware version, and serial number of the modem are verified.
  • Firmware Test: If an outdated firmware version is detected, it is updated, and tests continue with the new version.
  • Wi-Fi Functionality Test: A Wi-Fi connection between the modem and a computer is established and tested for functionality.
  • Internet Connection Test: A DSL/WAN connection is made to the modem, subscriber details are entered, and internet access is verified.
  • LED Test (Manual): The LED lights on the modem are manually checked, and the results are recorded.
  • Reset Test: The modem is reset to factory settings and restarted.
  • Barcode Label Printing: If needed, a barcode label can be printed for the modem with the note 'tested'.

Results and Reporting: All test and operation data performed on the platform are automatically transferred to the central server, where authorized personnel can analyze and generate reports.
